Cardiff City Stadium is the home of Cardiff City FC and Cardiff Blues RFC so why not come and join us to experience the first Levy Restaurants venue in Wales?

We pride ourselves in our friendly welcome, our professional service and our passion for all things food! Our standards are to provide the best of local and seasonal produce and we are sure that our menus will tempt you during our events season.

Our outstanding Suites menus offer a range of options including our Char-grill menu featuring a selection of 'Truly Welsh' products from the Preselli Gold Sausage Company and the Snowdonia Cheese Company.

The Bistro also offers a range of menus in the comfort of the Redrow Suite, featuring our great seasonal menus.

Cardiff City Stadium is also a great venue for all corporate and social events including exhibitions, conferences, parties and weddings.

Cardiff City Stadium is situated 2.5 miles from Cardiff city centre and close to the Capital Retail Park which features Marks & Spencer Home, Next Home, Costco and Les Croupiers Casino, amongst others.

Cardiff Buses have a regular service to the stadium throughout the week. Cardiff Blues RFC offer a shuttle bus service on match days.

The stadium is also situated close to two train stations, Ninian Park and Grangetown, which offer a limited service schedule


Parking

The Stadium has 1,250 on-site car parking spaces which are pre-sold during the event season. Additional car parking is available at various sites around the Stadium for a fee.

Parking on a non-event day is complimentary for delegates and guests.


Hours

Cardiff City FC: Hospitality doors open approx. 2.5 hours prior to match kick-off and close approx. 1.5 hours after the match finishes.

Cardiff Blues: Hospitality doors open approx. 2 hours prior to match kick-off and close approx. 1.5 hours after the match finishes.

Concerts: Please check upon booking.

Our Chef

Head Chef Steve Jones has recently begun his tenure here at the Cardiff City Stadium following a very successful period running his own restaurant in one of Spain’s busy holiday resorts. Having said that, Steve is no stranger to the world of Stadium catering, having been Head Chef at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff in recent years.

Steve has also been a member of the Compass Culinary team, winning Bronze and Gold medals at the world-renowned Hotelympia. He has also experienced the busy world of hospitality catering at many of the Compass groups other sporting venues. His most recent venue has been at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin home to both the Irish National football and rugby teams.

Away from the Stadium, Steve and his wife love nothing more than retreating to his other home in Spain to relax in the sun and take in some much needed rest and recharging of the batteries!


Signature Recipe

Mediterranean Chicken Ballotine

1 x 224g Chicken Breast, boneless, skin off
Halen Mon Sea Salt & Pepper
112 g minced Chicken Thigh
28 ml Double Cream
1 medium Egg White
72 g Finely Diced Vegetables, sweated in Olive Oil (shallot, red pepper, courgette, aubergine, garlic) cooled.
100g Leeks
3 or 4 balls of mini Mozzarella
4 or 5 fresh basil leaves
4 Wafer thin slices of Streaky Bacon

Lay a piece of cling film out on a chopping board and place the chicken Breast on it. Lay another piece of cling film over the top, of a similar size. With a meat hammer or the base of a small saucepan, beat the breast until it is wafer thin, without tearing a hole in it. Place on a plate.
Lay another piece of cling film out on the board and lay the thin rashers of bacon on it vertically, with a small gap in between each slice. Place the batted chicken breast on top of the bacon strips, making sure not too much of the chicken overlaps the bacon.
In a food processor, add minced chicken, seasoning, egg and cream, then blitz until smooth and glossy. Fridge for half an hour to rest.
When rested, remove the mousse from the fridge and add the sweated, cooled vegetables, mixing well. Check the seasoning by frying a small piece of the mousse until cooked. Check and re-season to taste.

To assemble, place the whole basil leaves on the batted chicken then spread the chicken and vegetable mousse evenly over the basil leaves. Place the Mozzarella balls in a line across the middle of the chicken, then carefully, using the cling film, roll tightly from the bottom, into a Swiss roll like shape, encasing all the filling.

On a fresh piece of cling film, place the chicken in the middle and tightly roll in the film. Once wrapped, hold both ends of the cling film, and continue to roll the chicken tighter and tighter on the table, until the cling film has become almost like string on the ends and the chicken is very compact, resembling a sausage shape. Tie both end of the cling film into a knot as close to the chicken as possible. Refrigerate to rest for half an hour.

Cook the chicken in the cling film, in a saucepan of chicken stock until cooked, approx. 20-25 mins. Remove and allow to cool. When cool, fridge until completely cold.
To finish the dish, heat a frying pan, add some olive oil, then add the chicken, minus the cling film, and turn regularly in the oil until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is hot. Slice on the angle and arrange on the plate. Delicious served with Roasted Summer vegetables, fresh tomato sauce and Pembrokeshire new potatoes.

Cardiff City Stadium played host to its first concert in June 2010 when we welcomed local lads The Stereophonics, who played in front of a rapturous 32,000 fans.

The stadium has also played host to a number of famous faces including Ex-Labour Party Leader Lord Neil Kinnock, Tony Robinson of Blackadder fame, plus a raft of famous sports stars who attended the BBC Sports Personality Awards 2009 at our venue
